About Me...

        A graduate of N.C. State University, I have extensive experience in wedding coordination with great relationships at many venues. I am a proven leader that is organized, motivated, and enthusiastic with great communication skills. 

       Growing up in a family owned florist and wedding planning business, I have a true passion for special events.  Over the years, this hands-on experience has proven to help me prepare for any type of special event.  I have been responsible for end-to-end planning, buying, and execution for weddings, rentals and other special events. In addition, I can help you with all of your floral and design needs! 

       I spent 6 years in corporate buying at Belk, Inc and while there, I was able to demonstrate my creative talents, and experience in event strategy and execution through several special projects outside of my day-to-day job. I have worked with the Special Events team on in-store events that included celebrity public appearances by Emeril Lagasse, Jessica Simpson, Curtis Stone, The Carolina Panthers, the Belk Bowl, and private customer shopping events.  Through my role in buying, I have also been able to gain valuable experience in negotiation, marketing, business strategy, and budgeting that contributes to my success in special events. 

       I have also served as Belk's Young Professional Employee Resource Group Board Chairperson. Within this role, I was responsible for leading a group of over 300 employees, managing an eight person board, and executing 26 group events annually. I have been able to finesse my leadership skills, and demonstrate my ability to multi-task through this position. Also, I served as the Young Professional Development Committee Chair, where I was responsible for the planning and execution of all associate development events. During my time as chair, I managed a committee of 25 people and executed 9 events throughout the year that contributed to Belk’s associate engagement goals.
